Through this Citizen’s Charter, we at Water Security & Public Health Engineering Department commit ourselves to providing efficient and prompt water supply and sewerage services.

 
     
  The Water Security & Public Health Engineering Department Endeavors  
  • To provide safe drinking water and risk – free sanitation services while protecting the environment as well.
• To ensure conservation of all water sources
• To be a services provider catering to public expectations
• To built a lasting partnership between citizens and ourselves
 
     
  This charter outline the citizens’ rights and their obligations as consumers.
It also sets out the services standards that they can expect.
 
     
  Purpose  
 

An effective partnership needs to develop between the Department and the consumers. This partnership will ensure delivery of safe, reliable drinking water and create an efficient sewerage system that protects both community health and the environment.

 
     
 

This Citizens’ Charter seeks to develop an understanding of low this partnership can work to provide better services without high increase in cost.

 
     
  The Citizen’s Charter:  
 

• Provides information on the water supply and sanitation services that can be expected from the Department.
• Lists obligations to be fulfilled by the consumers while using these services
• Seek cooperation of the citizens’ as partners in the maintenance of a clean and green environment.
• Present our commitment to deliver excellent quality services with ethics and integrity.

 
     
 

Our Services
Water Security and Public Health Engineering Department provides water supply, sanitation and sewerage services in urban areas and in 32 rural marketing centers throughout Sikkim. Areas and population covered by the WS& PHE water supply system may account for as much as 40% of the entire State.
